Performance In Music

Music Lovers

Music is eternal and perhaps one of the best creations of the God in the universe. Yet music will be without any influence sans the performance that is the physical expression giving features to the music and making it audible for all concerned. Usually the musical works are performed subject to the completion of their creation to the satisfaction of the composer or creators. Yet the music can evolve and get drastically modified during its performance depending on the reaction and tastes of the target audiences.

Many times even the best of music has failed to evoke the desired response since the performance were either substandard or not touching the mind of the audience. On the other hand at times mediocre compositions have become chart busters only because of the brilliant performance of the artist and the musicians accompanying him or her.

Performances can be rehearsed. In fact rehearsal has become integral part of the overall process of composition to performance. However there are also possibilities and scope for improvisation. Senior artists and composers often improvise and when such improvisation is approved by all, it can go a great way enhancing the quality and appeal of the music in question. One should clearly appreciate differences between improvisation that is not premeditated, and rehearsal that is vigorous repetition of performance to reach the perfection. Seo India
